An innovative stern trawler designed and equipped by Rolls-Royce

RollsroyceRolls-Royce signed a contract with Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven to create, design and equip a state-of-the-art fishing vessel, a stern trawler which has been ordered by Compagnie Des Peches Saint-Malo S.A. & SAS Comptoir Des Peches D’Europe Du Nord – Euronor.
The owner chose an innovative concept of Rolls-Royce NVC 374 WP design, a 80m long vessel featuring an onboard factory for the production of fish filets, with storage capacity of 1,400m3 and an additional 550m3 fishmeal storage hold. Operational efficiency, low emissions, crew comfort, safety and excellent seakeeping capabilities have been the main considerations in the development of the ship design and equipment package.
Rolls-Royce  will equip the ICE 1A* classed vessel with main engine, auxiliary engines, thruster, automation, hydraulic winches and the fuel efficient Wave Piercing design.
The vessel is scheduled to be delivered from the yard in September 2017.
