Vyborg Shipyard and Arkhangelsk Trawler Fleet to build new-generation fishing trawlers

TalborLast week, Vyborg Shipyard signed an Agreement for Cooperation with Arkhangelsk Trawler Fleet (ATF), under the terms of which the companies will implement the construction of a series of new-generation fishing freezer trawlers.
Such agreement marking the upcoming collaboration between Vyborg and Arkhangelsk will improve and renovate the Russian fishing fleet, while enhancing new domestic shipbuilding skills.
The four trawlers series, designed to catch bottom fish species, will be built by Vyborg Shipyard and are expected to be delivered to Arkhangelsk Trawler Fleet in 2018-2019.

Vyborg Shipyard PJSC is one of the largest shipyards of North-Western Russia. Within their  65-years’ experience in shipbuilding, they have been building more than 200 different vessels. Vyborg Shipyard is member of Russian Engineering Union, Association of Shipbuilders of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.

Arkhangelsk Trawler Fleet JSC is a leading fishing and fish-processing enterprise in Arkhangelsk region, and it is the oldest fleet of Northern Russia, having celebrated its 95th anniversary last year. At the present time the enterprise fleet numbers 8 vessels and is including developed coastal facilities.
