mulder yachtsMulder Shipyard began the construction of its new 36m yacht, its largest project to date which was ordered at the end of last year. The Dutch shipyard is so confirming its presence in the superyacht market.
The new yacht was designed with the aim to maximise her volume while keeping the vessel light, that is, no more than 300 GT. Generous living spaces and lightweight are such features which would, according to the yard director Dick Mulder, open up excellent possibilities for both private use and chartering, even without the need of a large crew onboard. In addition to these qualities, the 36 Mulder features the Van Oossanen patented Fast Displacement Hull Form, which guarantees improved stability and fuel economy.
The vessel will boast some features usually found on much larger yachts, regarding both operation and design, including a William Dieseljet 625 tender, a beach club, two Jet Skis, a large whirlpool bathtub and numerous sun pads.
The yacht’s interior is by Claydon Reeves Design, which was also responsible of the previous delivery 34m Solis’s. The design studio was then recommended by Mulder itself, after such a successful collaboration.
“We enjoyed working closely with Mulder Shipyard during the fast-paced design and build development of Solis,” says Mike Reeves from Claydon Reeves Design. “We share similar values and aim to achieve a high-quality, authentic product. As a result, the new 36m yacht will be practical, finely detailed and have a wide appeal.”
