UCINA and the ITA-ICE Agency together on a plan for the support of the nautical export

UCINA_exportThe last data published by Istat confirm that the Italian economic recovery is driven by export, with a 3,7 % growth of the Italian export in 2015.
According to the data provided by ASSILEA (Associazione Italiana del Leasing), whose General Director is also part of the Presidence Council of UCINA, last year saw an increment of 62% of the value of the contracts signed (whose number is stable): the value increased to 240 million euro. Right after the Genoa Boat Show, contracts for more than 20,1 million euros were signed in the last two months of 2015, with a growth of 35% of the value from 2014.
However, the US market, the most dynamic for the Italian companies, slowed down in the last months. The Brasilian market is stationary and it is not expected to grow soon as the national economy is facing a period of difficulties. The Far East as well is deceiving expectations, while the Russian market is stationary and the Middle East is in an unclear situation.
In this context, UCINA Confindustria Nautica is aiming to strenghten the Italian presence in the strategic International markets for the nautical sector through a project which has been approved by the Italian Ministry of the Economic Development and which is going to be operative thanks to ITA-ICE Agenzia.
The project will take on a strategy to improve the internationality of the nautical companies operating in the superyacht market, as well as in the smaller boatbuilding and in the maritime accessories.
Demaria, UCINA Confindustria Nautica’s President, claimed that “The aim is one: to help and support our companies’ export activities with tangible economic aids, institutional presence, bilateral agreements and know how”.
Among the specific actions which will be carried on, one is to enhance the presence of the Italian nautical industry  at all most important international shows. In particular, in 2016 the ICE-UCINA partnership already took part in the BOOT Dusseldorf in January, in the Miami International Boat Show, and it is currently attending the Dubai International Boat Show.
Last week, a mission guided by UCINA’s Vice-President Piero Formenti at the Eurasia Boat Show in Istanbul was aimed to ponder the opportunities of the Turkish market, also considering the current political situation of the country.
Another event strongly wanted by UCINA is the Fimar, the Fair of the Italian-Brazilian Sea Economy, a bilateral initiative organized by UCINA itself, the Italian Ministry of the Economic Development and the Government of the Brazilian State of Santa Caterina. The event will take place in May 4th-8th  and will gather all relevant companies involved in the design, technology and supply for Italian and Brazilian the nautical industry.
Future attendance to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November is also scheduled.
