Heysea 152, a 47-metre superyacht concept

HeyseaHeysea Yachts has recently unveiled a new 47-metre superyacht concept, the Heysea 152.
The project had originally been developed by the Chinese shipyard for a client who requested a very untraditional one cabin layout and who wished to keep the yacht in Shenzhen, China. The client, however, opted for an alternative model by the same shipyard, for he could not locate a berth large enough for the specifically developed project in Shenzhen.
Mark Duncan of YPI, who’s acting as Central Agent for the project, states that “the yard really believed in the 152 and decided to take it to market and offer it further afield. Our CEO, Laurent Debart (who knows Heysea very well having spent over 13 years working in China with our parent group, BRS) and Director of Sales, Russell Crump, saw the real value in this for our clients and are therefore very proud indeed to have been granted the exclusive CA on her. As such, the yacht really is a ‘blank canvas’ for potential buyers in terms of interior design and layout.”
The Heysea 152 has an axe-bow design and a fully customisable layout which could accommodate up to 10 guests and nine crew. With a build time of under two years the Heysea 152 will feature electronics, equipment and engineering provided by recommended European or American suppliers.
“Heysea not only understand build quality but they understand quality bespoke client service as standard,” said YPI director of sales, Russell Crump . “With the Heysea 152, the yard has produced a simple example interior design and are more than ready to adapt or change that interior according to client’s wishes. That includes paying for the services of a reputable interior designer or one of the client’s own choosing.”
“I have been familiar with Heysea for some time,” explains YPI Group CEO and Head of YPI Asia, Laurent Debart. “They build quality product with excellent attention to detail and finishing at a fraction of the cost a similar build would set an owner back in Europe or the States. So we are very proud to now present the yard, it’s Heysea, Zoom and Superyacht Series vessels including their stunning Heysea152 to our clients.”
“China offers a new look and a new perspective on yachting,” said Debart. “They have the skill, the experience, the resources and the know-how to build quality luxury yachts to a very high standard. And in much the same way as many of our clients are now looking to reputable commercial yards to construct their new superyacht projects, we are convinced Heysea offer the right mix for clients to build in China and then enjoy wherever they are in the world.”
