COLUMBUS 40 HYBRID-105The Italian brand Columbus Yachts, part of the Palumbo Group, unveiled their second 40-metre motor yacht  belonging to the award-winning series Sport Hybrid, called Divine. The yacht will be on display at Monaco Yacht Show 2016 from 28th of September – to 1st October along  the Quai des Etats-Unis.
The Sport Hybrid is a series of hybrid high-performance superyachts providing yachts owners with a new, environmentally responsible way of yachting. This 40-metre aluminum semi-displacement yacht is powered with hybrid propulsion system and two diesel engines allowing for speeds ranging from 3 to 20 knots, all with low fuel-consumptions.
The three-decked yacht features naval architecture and exterior design by Hydrotec Srl and interior design by Hot Lab. Her neat vertical bow and automotive-inspired lines, make her a sport yacht characterized by high volume and impressive heights. To reduce the mass of the hull structure and offer uninterrupted views from the main salon, the bulwarks feature glass cut-outs that also serve as fold-down balconies. These are complemented by full-height glass doors, which were engineered to either slide or hinge open. With the doors open and the balconies lowered, the salon becomes a floating terrace with unparalleled sea views.
The innovation of this vessel is also seen in her layout’s smart solutions, such as a VIP suite that could convert into two cabins. A bar is located at the entrance of the main deck, with a dining area seating ten guests located forward. The lounge area is framed by two large windows allowing for amazing views onto the surrounding seascape. The main deck also houses the master suite with a king size bed positioned in the center of the cabin between two large windows providing natural light and scenic views. Divine can accommodate up to 10 guests in five staterooms, with the owner’s suite and study on the main deck, and eight crew members are also hosted onboard.
