klevenShortly after sea trials, the 116-metre explorer yacht known as U116 left the Norwegian shipyard Kleven in Ulsteinvik to be outfitted in Bremerhaven in Germany, just like her owner’s previous superyacht, the 107-metre Ulysses.
Dörries Maritime will carry out completion of the vessel’s luxurious interiors and outdoor spaces.
U116 belongs to Graeme Hart, a New Zealand businessman, and she will be larger and more refined than Ulysses. She is expected for delivery by mid-2017.
U116 is based on a type MT 5006 MKII ESV platform designed by local design studio Marin Teknikk, in collaboration with Kyle Dick of New-Zealand based Oscar Mike Naval Architects. She will be able to accommodate 66 people on board. Manta Maritime is carrying out technical aspects and details.
CEO of Kleven, Ståle Rasmussen, said: “It has been a great pleasure working with Mr Hart and his team on this magnificent project. We highly appreciate the trust they have shown us by placing not just one but two orders with Kleven, in what was a new segment for us.”
