First hull of Ferretti 920 yacht under construction

The first hull of Ferretti 920 yacht, the second new project of the year, is currently being built at the Ferretti’s facilities in Cattolica (Rimini). Developed in a collaboration among the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee, Engineering Department, and Studio Zuccon International Project, the yacht is expected to have her official launch in September.

The 28.49-metre Ferretti 920 is a maxi flybridge with imposing, dynamic lines, a range of spacious areas for relaxation and sophisticated interior furnishings. She features the largest forward space in the bow for a yard’s vessel of this size.
The sun pad on the deckhouse leads to a dinette fitted with two forward-facing sofas, divided by a passageway, and a pair of sofas with adjustable backrests. A generous lounge is thus created, completed with coffee tables that can be protected and shaded by curtains upon request.

The stern area features a submersible hatch, the system used to move the garage door and swimming platform, serving as a comfortable beach club and helping the crew to handle the tender (there’s room enough onboard to host a tender ranging up to 4 metres) with ease.
The cockpit has two layout options based on the arrangement of the aft sofa: either a separate sofa, or a chaise lounge that can be used as a sun pad or a seat for the outdoor dining table. The interior conveys a welcoming and elegant atmosphere thanks to structural panelling, panoramic windows, veneer finishes and a clever use of leathers.

The main area of the lower deck is available in two layouts: on the first unit there will be 3 large en suite cabins, all fitted with a separate wardrobe area. This layout offers guests a full-beam double master cabin located amidships, and a second VIP suite on the port side with the exact same set-up. A comfortable third cabin with single beds completes the accommodation area. The 4-cabin layout is organized into two en suite double cabins on the port side and two doubles with single beds on the starboard side.

The yacht can be propelled by three different types of MTU engine. The standard model is powered by twin 12V 2000 M96L 1948 Mhp engines, which can be upgraded to twin 16V engines, respectively 2000 M86 generating 2217 Mhp and 2000 M96 with 2435 Mhp. Their respective performances are 23, 24 and 26 knots cruising speed and 26.5, 28 and 30 knots maximum speed, depending on the chosen engine configuration (preliminary data). The boatyard can install zero-speed fins or Seakeeper stabilizers on board the yacht, upon request.
