Second hull of 74-metres Amels 242 undergoing sea trials

A new 74-metre yacht Amels 242 from the Dutch shipyard in Vlissingen (the Netherlands) has been completed in February and had her first sea trials on the North Sea this week.

She is the second model from the Limited Editions range featuring a highly recognisable and streamlined exterior design by Tim Heywood and the owner’s choice of Winch Design for the custom interiors.

The first hull of Amels 242, named Plus Ultra, is a family boat featuring large outdoor spaces, a 6.5-metre long pool and a Jacuzzi above the wheelhouse. Connections to the sea include the unique Beach Club located amidships. Accommodation onboard includes a private owner’s deck with forward-facing master suite featuring Andrew Winch’s interior styling and cabins for up to 12 guests. An 18 crew is also accommodated onboard.

Sold before the Monaco Yacht Show 2015, the second hull of Amels 242 is scheduled to be delivered by the summer season.
