Seawork 2017, 20th edition of the marine exhibition

Seawork 2017, the 20th edition of Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition, took place in the Mayflower Park venue in Southampton (UK) from June 13th to 15th.

Since 1998 Seawork International has been an appreciated three-day on-shore and on-water trade exhibition, providing buyers, legislators and influencers with direct access to the commercial marine and workboat market, products, innovations.

Seawork 2017 hosted various industry leading activities, showcasing the latest innovations within the commercial marine sector, new equipment and vessel launches, a vast array of products, an engaging conference programme exploring several topics.

Andrew Mallard, General Manager of MAN (UK) commented “Seawork gives us a good opportunity to network and, unlike other exhibitions, you feel as if business is being done. You feel like you’re really achieving something. We’ve been at Seawork since its infancy and in the past five years it’s gone from strength to strength.’

Delegation and trade associations were welcomed to the exhibition, visiting from across the globe, including naval delegations from New Zealand, Bolivia, China and Malaysia, who were all keen to explore procurement opportunities with Seawork exhibitors. Networking sessions called “Meet the Buyer” matched the exhibitors with suitable organisations requiring products or services.

Andrew Webster, CEO of Fareham, UK based Mercator Media, producer of Seawork and Maritime Journal magazine comments, “Seawork has come a long way since its first edition in 1989 but still remains true to its origins in delivering a one-stop-shop for the commercial marine professionals. It has been the genesis of many millions worth of longstanding contracts and contacts. We really look forward to seeing all our exhibitors and visitors again in June 2018.”
