Lurssen Project Redwood in build

Lurssen Project RedwoodThe 139-metre Custom motor yacht Project Redwood is currently under construction at Lurssen’s facilities in Bremen, Germany. The renowned Venice-based design firm Nuvolari-Lenard is working on the yacht’s concept, beautiful exterior and interior design.

The design studio is collaborating with the same owner’s representatives and build team from Moran Yacht & Ship with which it worked on the 88-metre motor yacht Quattroelle, delivered in 2013.

Project Redwood features a displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. She was built to Lloyds Register Passenger Yacht Code classification society rules.

The yacht, accommodating up to 36 guests across 20 staterooms, offers plenty of amenities to entertain passengers onboard. A sports and diving centre is located on the lower decks, as well as a large swimming pool, partially protected from the elements. A Spa is also available on deck, featuring a sauna and a Jacuzzi.

The superyacht will also feature two helicopter landing pads on the decks. She will carry a fleet of tenders ranging up to 15 metres, to be used for several purposes.

This luxury yacht is fitted with zero speed stabilizers which work at anchor, increasing on-board comfort when the yacht is stationary, particularly in rough waters. When cruising, she is expected to have efficient, long-range cruising capabilities for independent global exploration.

Project Redwood is scheduled for delivery to her owner in 2019.
