Wider 165 project Cecilia under construction

Wider 165 project CeciliaWider‘s flagship, the Wider 165 also known as project Cecilia, designed in collaboration with Fulvio de Simoni and Tilli Antonelli, is currently completing construction.

Work on the interior of the Wider 165 is now starting to come together with the installation of glazing on the main deck – allowing the interiors to be kept dust free – along with significant progress in the guest cabins and crew quarters on the lower deck.

Further forward, the insulation in the technical spaces is now complete and awaiting the hotel and propulsion switchboards. These have arrived on site and will be thoroughly tested prior to being installed before the end of the month.

The Wider 165 is designed for those who enjoy being out on the water, are looking for generous outdoor spaces, and demand all of the indoor comforts of a high-spec home backed up by state-of-the-art engineering.

Setting her apart is the 98-sqm beach club with a 7-m pool – larger than any competitor – which converts to store a 32’ rigid tender. In addition, her diesel electric propulsion using azimuthal pods – the same proven system as used on the Wider 150 – ensures that she will be the quietest among yachts in the same size range.

“We are pushing ahead and happy with current progress. We are also in discussions with several interested parties and looking into the possibilities of customising certain areas to their specific requirements”, said Jeremy Roche, Sales & Marketing Director. “At this stage, there is still the potential for client specific customization but, as we go forward, alterations will prove more challenging and time consuming”, he continued.

The Wider 165 is scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of 2018, and to be delivered right in time for next summer season.
