Wider has announced a new, 40.78-metre motor yacht project, the Wider 130 to be added to its line up of hybrid superyachts: a full displacement, all-aluminium yacht offering exceptional range and spacious living.
The huge deck space is split into three luxury areas: the foredeck for sunbathing, bridge deck aft for alfresco dining and entertaining and a generous beach club, for easy access to the sea.
The beach club, as for all other Wider models, is one of the most remarkable feature of the Wider 130. The transom door folds down when at anchor to create a 40sqm oasis, completely private and right on the water. Inside, there is a bar and storage for water toys.
The extensive use of glass and floor-to-ceiling windows, combined with an ample beam of 8.40m, allow for generous, light and airy indoor spaces, with stunning views on the surrounding seascape. On the upper deck, the full-height sliding glass panels divide the sky lounge from the aft deck.
Owners and guests (up to twelve) are comfortably accommodated across six staterooms, that stretch further aft than on a traditional yacht of similar size, well into the area usually hosting the engine room.
The full-beam master cabin is located on the main deck and includes a dedicated owner’s study as well as a sea terrace on the starboard side.
A crew of 7 is also accommodated onboard, in three twin cabins located on the lower deck as well as a sizeable cabin for the captain next to the wheelhouse.
An easily accessible tender storage is located forward, hidden from sight: it can store a 5.0-m tender along with two jet skis. All of the tenders and toys can be launched and retrieved by a crane housed out of sight within the yacht’s superstructure.
The Wider 130 is powered by Diesel Electric technology, coupled to an Azimuthal pod propulsion system, allowing for greater volume and better layout arrangement. Two variable speed generators serve all needs from hotel and cables supply to the electric motors on top of the azimuthal pods. The propulsion system is also completely modular, so the Wider 130 can cruise using only the battery packs, in ZEM (Zero Emission Mode), or using up to two variable speed generators.
As for her performance, the Wider 130 is expected to reach a top speed of 14 knots, a range of 2,600nm when cruising at 12 knots, 3,400nm at the economical speed of 10 knots. The yacht can also run solely on batteries, in total silence, when in zero emission mode.
