Perini Navi 60m sailing yacht SevenThe Italian yard Perini Navi has recently launched its latest yacht, the 60-metre sailing yacht Seven. The follow-up to Seahawk and Perseus 3, Seven is the third hull launched in the 60-metre sailing yacht series by Perini.

The 62nd Perini vessel, was lowered into the water for the first time at the yard’s facilities in Viareggio. The ceremony was attended by Seven’s owners, shipyard staff and Perini friends and family members.

Ron Holland, a long-time partner, collaborated with the Perini Navi design in-house team on the project, developing Seven’s naval architecture. The Italian design brand Dante O. Benini took care of the interior layout and styling of the project, collaborating with Perini Navi for the first time.

Like her sister yachts, she features a sleek hull and superstructure, withTwo Panamax aluminium masts dressed with carbon-fibre rigging, booms and spreaders, which will carry more than 2,000 square metres of sail.
Seven is designed to achieve peak performance and also be comfortable for bluewater cruising, while measuring in with an enclosed gross tonnage of less than 500GT.

“The realisation of this project represents an important achievement for the shipyard, in which we worked in close synergy with the owners,” commented Perini Navi Chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli. “This is also the first launch since Perini Navi entered into the partnership agreement with the Tabacchi family and is testament to how the company has kept its core values intact, while at the same time strengthening the brand’s position as a world leader in Italian excellence.”

After undergoing final outfitting and sea trials, Seven will attend the Monaco Yacht Show next month where she will have her world première.
