New 27 metre Continental Two under construction at Van der Valk

Continental-TwoVan der Valk is currently building a new Continental Two at their facilities in Waalwijk. This new vessel has been ordered by an experienced yachtsman with precise brief and requirements.
The 27 metre motoryacht was designed together with Guido de Groot, featuring naval architecture by Jarin Ginton.
The yacht will feature an all-aluminium, round-bilged fast displacement hull and a moulded beam without rubbing strakes. The new Continental Two features several departures from Van der Valk’s traditional design and styling. A bulb on the submerged section, an uncommon feature in the Dutch shipyard’s models, will extend the waterline and boost performance. Another divergence from previous Continental Twos will be tender storage on the large bathing platform, while the flybridge, usually dedicated to tender storage, will instead feature a groovy leisure area.
Guests will be accommodated in a particular spacious interior thanks to the 6.72 beam, over a four cabin layout: a large owner’s suite, a VIP suite, and two guest cabins, with a double crew cabin as well. The foredeck will provide another handy social and sunbathing space, while the large lazarette houses diving gear and lots of toys.
She will be powered by twin MAN 1900 V12 engines, and one of her highlights will be state-of-the-art roll stabilisation in the form of a VG120 gyro stabiliser by VEEM.
New Continental Two is scheduled to be delivered to her experienced owner in Spring 2017.
