Pershing-108-Yacht-2This summer Pershing thirty-year history added a new launch to the list. The third unit of the Pershing 108 has descended into the water in the Marina dei Cesari in Fano (Italy) in June.
This three-engine maxi yacht, whose interior was entirely customized by the owner assisted in every design stage by Ferretti Group, is a ship that fully interprets both Pershing aesthetic taste and its mission: all along its activity, Pershing has made of technological innovation and engine performance a priority.
The Pershing 108 is a maxi yacht that’s ahead of its time. The result of collaboration between yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department it’s a perfect sample of the brand: a versatile layout is paired with the most innovative on-board technology. The Pershing 108 is a state-of-the-art maxi yacht, also in terms of its propulsion system, divided into three engine for the first time, with the aim of guaranteeing great performance and with environmental impact in mind. The design innovation represented by three engines meets not only the power requirement, but also those of onboard living space and fuel savings. Not only do three engines reduce weight and make maintenance easier, but they allow transfers to be made using just the middle engine, with imperceptible noise and range as it glides over 1,070 nautical miles at 10 knots. In absence of high load conditions, using two engines only, the cruising speed rises to 23 knots and to 42 knots with the full power of all three engines. In the shipyard version, the Pershing 108 has three MTU 2638 mHp (1939 kW) 16V 2000 M 94 L diesel engines. She can manage high travel ranges, exceeding 1000 miles at 10 knots and with very limited fuel consumption at these speeds. The Pershing 108, 32.90 m long, has 4 guest cabins and 3 dedicated to the crew and has high levels of comfort onboard. Liveability and spaciousness are guaranteed by a total volume of 510 cubic metres and by the maximized natural lighting provided by large windows on the lower deck area. This new planing maxi yacht reaches the heights of excellence in yachting: stylish finishes, original contrasts and great care for details, a real Made-in-Italy jewel.
