downloadMZ Electronic starts working with Italwinc by ORVEA in 2008, creating the brand Italwinch and starting producing the first range of anchor windlasses for boats up to 16 meters. The collaboration with Posidonia becomes closer with market demand to have products for superyachts; in 2011 MZ Electronic decided to acquire the ORVEA company, including drawings, stock, moulds, know-how and starting the Italwinch by ORVEA project. Now the range Italwinch by ORVEA has more than 35 categories of mechanical products for docking, a complete range of electronic accessories and the possibility of creating custom solutions on request, both in electronic and mechanical sector. Posidonia is a company based in Novi Ligure and was founded in 1946. The core business is the design and manufacture of anchors for superyachts and commercial vessels. Posidonia is also specialized in the supply chain and certification of the whole system provided (anchor, pocket, chain, kenter, etc.). During the 25th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show held last September the two companies have signed a technical agreement for the commercial supply of a complete system of anchorage for pleasure boats with length starting from 30 meters. This innovative agreement provides:

  • the supply to the shipyard a complete system specifically designed for the anchoring part of the superyacht under construction (2D / 3D drawings). This include the support in the sizing and placement of all the products on the hull
  • a single point of reference for the technical department of the yard for any kind of assistance during construction and the after-sales
  • possibility of certification of the whole system with the most important worldwide certification authorities

The synergy between the two companies is to provide end customers with a new type of service and above all a complete anchoring system and validated by the manufacturers in all its components.
