A new 110-metre superyacht concept by Lobanov Design will be unveiled at the upcoming edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, alongside with other four new designs.
The Italian design studio is well renowned for its innovative approach, which is seen more and more through the designs of previous projects such as the Oceanco 85-metre St. Princess Olga and unconventional Phoenicia and Star superyacht projects: Shy, this is how the new 110-metre project is called, promises to be no less.
One of the unconventional features Lobanov integrated in the design is the superstructure: it is wrapped by a series of ribbons, creating a characteristic styling and an added level of privacy to guests onboard. No horizontal deck spaces are in fact visible from the outside, and this unconventional and yet stylish feature is the reason of a nickname that would sound inappropriate for a yacht this size.
The harmonious rhythm in which the ribbons are placed has been possible thanks to Igor Lobanov’s skills in mathematics and to his continuous research of inspiration in nature.
