nick-mezasThe Dutch shipyard Amels has been collaborating with both the best renowned yacht designers as well as up-and-coming talents, and the recent re-introduction of the Full Custom line has created even more opportunities for new collaborations. “Since re-introducing our Full Custom offer to the market last year, we’ve seen a lot of enthusiasm and interest from clients, brokers and designers to work with Amels,” said Amels’ Design Manager Hans Konings. “These custom concepts are a great starting point in our discussions about fully custom-built yachts.”
Nick Mezas is one of  the yacht designers who joined Amels’ design team to create avant-garde Full Custom concepts based on Amels’ platforms.
“The starting point was to create a beautiful yacht for long-distance cruising in complete comfort, whether being out on the yacht’s expansive exterior decks or inside,” he explained. Low bulwarks and large glazed vertical surfaces extend the spacious feeling out on deck all through to the yacht’s interior. A single arching line connecting the four aft decks is one of the eye-catching design features. The 180 square metre main deck aft hosts a generous 65-metre swimming pool.
A spacious dedicated lounging area is found on the yacht’s foredeck ahead of the upper deck structure, where to enjoy the breeze and ocean views. An helicopter landing pad is located on bridge deck aft.
Accommodation is provided for 12 guests across six cabins, including a 240 m2 full-deck owners’ suite. Two VIP suites are on the main deck below, and three guest staterooms on the lower deck have direct access to the wellness centre in the aft part of the yacht.
