UCINA Confindustria Nautica has been invited by Red Ensign Group, the Group of British Shipping Registers, to attend and to take part in the Large Yacht Code update (LY3). The association representing the Italian Nautical Industry will host and support the first meeting in Pisa.
The important role of the Association has been internationally recognised with this invitation.
“We are honoured of the involvement of UCINA, strongly wanted by the REG, in the renewal of the regulation of large yachts” – said Carla Demaria, UCINA’s President. “Our involvement proves UCINA’s role as association representing the italian nautical industry and the importance that it has internationally in the superyacht sector”.
The most important shipyards of the world, the Italian and British national assotiations (UCINA, Superyacht UK/British Marine, SYBAss), the main class institutions (among which RINA for Italy), and some of the most important yacht design studios have also been invited to the meeting. Among the members of UCINA, there will be Sanlorenzo and Overmarine.
The new regulation which the attendees will be working on will create an updated version of the Large Yacht Code (LY3) and the latest version of the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) to meet the needs of the superyacht industry.
