Via MonteNapoleone, the street of fashion and luxury in Milan, becomes a refined Marina for a week (May 15th to 21st), with the MonteNapoleone Yacht Club: exclusive nautical previews, open-air retrospectives and signature purchases.
MonteNapoleone Yacht Club is back for its third edition to celebrate the historic connections between the luxury and boat-building sectors. The brands represented on Europe’s top fashion destination will host the world’s best-known shipyards and yacht clubs, presenting scale models of prestigious vessels, videos, photos and cutting-edge designs.
During the week, on Tuesday, May 16tt at 11.00 am, a round table entitled “Excellence in the nautical industry and tourism, a prime asset and tool to promote Made in Italy” will be attended by leading players in the industry.
Among the speakers, there will be Guglielmo Miani, MonteNapoleone District’s President, Carla Demaria, UCINA’s President, Lamberto Tacoli, Nautica Italiana’s President, German Frers, the famous Argentinean yacht designer, Francesco Morace, the sociologist founder of Future Concept Lab, Salvatore Trifirò, yacht owner and Giandomenico Boglione, maritime lawyer.
Via MonteNapoleone will also host an exhibition entitled ‘German Frers: a Life for Yacht Design’, focusing on the famous Argentinian designer and featuring photographs and reproductions of original drawings on display for the first time in Italy. The exhibition will run the length of Via MonteNapoleone and be of interest not only to sailing enthusiasts.
