Turquoise Yachts has launched its largest yacht to date, the 77-metre motor yacht GO, on March 27th, 2018.

Following the completion of the hull and superstructure, GO was launched in only 12 months. Sea trials are planned for April and delivery is scheduled for the end of May, setting a new record time for construction and delivery.

The modern and technologically advanced GO designed by London-based H2 Design studio bears similar DNA to her predecessors, yet she is clearly a leading-edge new generation yacht with a stunning “Island Turquoise” coloured hull.

Sporting clean contemporary exterior styling, her profile has a swerving arch that runs all the way around the aft of the vessel to the beach club. Forward on the bow is a non-certified touch-an-go landing pad for a helicopter. The tender garage that carries a 9,6-metre limo tender, as well as an 8-metre multipurpose tender, is amidships, leaving more space for a 162-square-metre beach club with direct access to the sea.

She has a dedicated owner’s deck with a forward-facing suite that vaunts uninterrupted panoramic views over the bow and access to a private outside lounge area with spa pool. Additional guest accommodations include 2 VIP suites, 6 guest staterooms, an expansive beach club, spa, gym, steam room and a vast sundeck with communal 5-metre pool.  A central elevator and staircase accessing all decks. Generous accommodations are provided for up to 20 crewmembers to cater to up to 18 guests.

GO is optimized with a bulbous bow and special geometry rudders to achieve lowest resistance and economy.

Yachting in Romania: a modernising market on the Black Sea

The Romanian boating industry is undergoing a gradual transformation, driven by investments in infrastructure, marina development and growing interest in recreational boating and sailing activities. While historically yachting in Romania was considered a niche sector with limited accessibility, the market is now evolving into one of the emerging areas of the Black Sea yachting industry.

A sector undergoing modernisation

Yachting in Romania, which is mainly concentrated around Constanta and other Black Sea resorts, is likely to grow in the future. At present, yachting is mainly seen as a sporting discipline, but the evolution of Nautical Tourism and the increasing interest in Yachting Romania suggest a broader development.
