As of April 1st, Honda Motor Company has officially launched its Honda Marine Division and unveiled its new leadership team.

This strategic move involves separating outboards and boats from the Power Products Division, where marine operations were previously housed. It signifies Honda’s renewed dedication to the boating industry and aims to provide the group with increased autonomy for designing marine products, thereby enhancing speed and focus on product development.

With a specific emphasis on a fresh OEM strategy in the US market, the Marine Division will feature a Euro-centric upper management team, aligning with the manufacturer’s strong presence in Italy.

Taking the helm of this new group is Cristian Pellegrino, the current general manager for Honda Motor Europe. Assisting him in steering the division’s course is Francesco Pichelli, who will oversee marketing and planning. Pichelli will also continue his roles as head of marine sales EU and general manager of Honda Marine Italy.
