Italian shipyard Rossinavi has recently signed a deal for its latest 52-metre superyacht, FR039, also known as Project Florentia.
Such piece of news comes right after the sale of the 49.7-metre Luca-Dini-designed motor yacht FR038 ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show.
Federico Rossi, chief operating officer at Rossinavi, said that Project Florentia is part of a new wave of yachts ranging over 50 metres and 500GT from Rossinavi, the first being the 70-metre High Power III (ex-Numptia) launched in 2011, others being the 70-metre King Shark, due for completion in 2020.
The new 700-Gross-tonne vessel, which will be built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, features a sporting exterior design by Giorgio and Stefano Vafiadis, and interior styling by Carlo Colombo and the A++ Design Studio from Lugano.
According to her brief, Florentia will be a high-volume motor yacht with elegant and subtle exterior features, and a soft and natural interior, with flowing lines that connect spaces together. In fact, as stated by Federico Rossi, “Florentia is positioned in a market niche for people who appreciate yacht with balanced lines and a great attitude to traditional boating.”
Details of Project Florentia are yet to be unveiled, but the yard announced that a superyacht staircase will be a key part of the interior design, bringing together warm colours, leather and light wood. Moreover, the owner’s suite will include a mirrored ring in the centre of the room to reflect light in all directions.
Accommodation onboard will be provided for up to 12 guests across the yacht’s spacious interior, while the crew quarters allow for a staff of up to 13 people.
As for Florentia’s power system and performance, the engine installation is undisclosed, but the hull has been designed around a cruising speed of 13.5 knots.
The new-build motor yacht Florentia is expected for launch and delivery in 2020.
