Katina, a 60m superyacht by Croatia’s largest shipyard

katina1Brodosplit, Croatia’s largest shipyard based in Split, with an history dating back to the Twenties and well distributed markets in several maritime fields, launched their superyacht Katina during last summer and had her have her public debut at the last edition of the Monaco Yacht Show. Katina is a 60-metre vessel and she is the biggest Croatian designed and built superyacht, being able to accommodate on board up to twelve passengers and an equal number of crew members.
Katina, with her steel hull and superstructure, is powered by two 1000 kW engines: the vessel can thus exceed 14 knots in speed, and fuel and water capacity on board is enough to comfortably sail up to 4,000 nautical miles at a time.
Boasting four decks that are connected by an on board elevator, the yacht features six guest cabins on the upper deck, a lounge area and meeting rooms that may hold up to 35 people. Katina is also equipped with all necessary to a very relaxing journey a sauna, whirlpool and gym. Water sports equipment such as kayaks and surfboards also guarantee plenty of entertainment possibilities.
Katina is a charter vessel, and the Croatian shipyard is currently working on the construction of its third hull, while a 74m concept is also under development.
