The absence of exhibitions for many months and the low availability to travel have certainly caused a stop in technical updating and a slowdown in the interaction between the employees of Italian shipyards and the suppliers of materials and machinery.

This is the reason why Pier Luigi Curatolo and Franco Morandi, organizers of the MEC- Marine Engineering Conference held in Milan and Viareggio between 2003 and 2008 that registered a great success, together with Luca Battaglini this year (13-14-15 October, between 2:00pm and 5:30pm) have decided to repropose such meeting between the operational needs of the marine production chain and Research & Development of major supplier companies in a digital format.
