RoxStar Sailing Superyacht by Bodrum Oğuz Marin

Share:

RoxStarRoxStar is a gullet-inspired sailing yacht built to superyacht standards and featuring the best of Turkish design trends: she was built by a small shipyard called Bodrum Oğuz Marin from Switzerland, specializing in naval architecture within the line of yacht building.
The idea was to build a sailing yacht with all additional comforts of a motor yacht and the luxury of a superyacht.
Rox Star is dressed in a pearlescent black hull with matching sails and classic deck house. Her exterior deck space has cleverly been divided into separate areas dedicated to socialising, sunbathing and partaking in the sailing action.
Separated by the helm stations and running controls, is the main cockpit and aft sun bathing area. The cockpit is covered by a large fixed bimini that can be extended to provide shade to the sun bathing area aft.
An area forward of the deck house has been dedicated to sun bathing and looks over the expansive foredeck.
Swiss firm, K-Architect, was given the task of designing the interior: the design is inspired by rock music, hence the name of the yacht. The prominent wheelhouse is an elegant interior meeting area, with large square windows providing natural light to the decoration theme. The main saloon comprises of a bar area, with a large corner sofa creating a welcoming atmosphere. Guests can enjoy occasions here while experiencing amazing views through the skylights above.
The master suite, placed on the accommodation deck features leathers and wooden furniture and paneling. It features a Turkish bath and steam room, not to mention its own skylight that also provides private access to the foredeck above. The four remaining guest cabins have each been themed to represent a famous rock star and their lifestyle, with oversized images.
The kitchen is one of the most planned areas in the sailing yacht. There are 3 ovens, cold room, wine cupboard, dish heater, salamander and more. When the meals are prepared, they are even transported to the guests upstairs via an exclusive elevator.
RoxStar has an overall length of 39.9 meters and sails measuring 1,320 m2. She has been fitted with a ketch rig designed for easy handling by her 6 crew, yet is able to be optimised for performance cruising when the moment calls. Her twin MAN engines deliver 1,120 hp and can be engaged during light wind conditions and enables Rox Star to still cruise at 12 knots while doing so.
