Coelmo presents the new Coelmo DTL5000, a 50 kW generator developed to offer greater compactness, lower weight and improved acoustic comfort on board. The new model was presented as a preview at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, held from 8 to 13 September.
Less space. Same power.
On board, every centimetre counts. For this reason, the new DTL5000 has been redesigned to significantly reduce the overall volume of the compact marine generator, while maintaining the same power class.
Compared with the previous model, the new configuration reduces:
– length by 13.4%,
– width by 7.1%,
– height by 5.6%.
The result is an overall reduction of approximately 24% in installation volume.
The overall weight has also been reduced. The new DTL5000 is 20% lighter than the previous model, simplifying installation operations and offering greater flexibility when designing the vessel and distributing weight on board.
Less volume and less weight, without giving up its 50 kW power output.
Less noise on board
The new configuration also focuses on sound insulation. The DTL5000 has been developed to further reduce generator noise and contribute to improved acoustic comfort on board.
This approach to marine generator noise reduction combines compactness, low weight and quiet operation in a single project, designed to meet the increasingly specific requirements of today’s marine industry.
The new DTL5000 by Coelmo was presented as a preview at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, held from 8 to 13 September at stand PAN 338 in the Vieux Port area.
The event provided an opportunity to take a closer look at the new model and explore its technical characteristics, design solutions and potential applications.
With the DTL5000, Coelmo further develops its approach to marine power generation, focusing on the optimization of space, weight and acoustic comfort without compromising the 50 kW power output.
For modern yachts, where available space and weight distribution are increasingly important design factors, the new Coelmo DTL5000 offers a more compact solution while maintaining the same power class as its predecessor.
