∏PIRIOU_Navire-de-voyage95_1-630x354Only a few weeks ago, French shipyard Piriou had their very first expedition superyacht, the 77m Yersin, world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2015 and revealed plans for an innovative range of Yacht Support Vessels (YSV), fast and versatile ships with sea proven hulls.
Piriou is used to building more than 130 crew boats for the offshore oil industry and is now entering the superyacht market with determination and with an interesting fil rouge: all vessels are destined for long-distance travelers, wanting to explore extreme destinations, seeking for adventure without compromising comfort and security.
Since the acclaimed launch of Yersin, Piriou unveiled an even bigger yacht concept: the Navire de Voyage 95, which, at 95 meters, will be able to cruise the high seas in all weathers, reaching 7000 nautical miles while cruising at 12 knots, with a maximum speed of 18 knots.
The superyacht will provide a luxurious ‘off-road’ platform, with generous deck spaces, four tenders and a helipad suitedfor EC135 and EC155 helicopters. An outdoor swimming pool and cinema complete the comfort and homely feeling on board for the up to sixteen guests, served by a 31 crew staff: such capacity meets the Bureau Veritas’s stringent ‘Passenger Vessel’ standard.
As with the previous expedition yacht Yersin, the Navire the Voyage will have a cleanship rating, focusing on as little impact on the environment as possible by utilising advanced emission-reducing and biological treatment features.
