The A80 Apsaras Sailing Yacht by Advanced Italian Yachts

sailing Yacht A80The A80 sailing yacht Apsaras by Advanced Italian Yachts, which was launched at the last edition of Cannes Yachting Festival, is the largest vessel ever built by the Italian shipyard. With the same design team of the previous successful model A66, the A80 has a naval architecture by the American duo Reichel/Pugh and boasts a design by Italian yacht designers Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino from Nauta Yachts.
The 24 metres A80 shares the same innovative hull shape as A60’s, that has been optimised for performance cruising as well as easy handling under any weather condition.
Reichel/Pugh, being much experienced in designing the most competitive sailing yachts, had a crucial role on Apsaras’ rig design and appendage package, without compromising easy handling capabilities. The streamlined superstructure is, on the other hand, a trademark of Nauta Yachts and is a continuation of the style of the smaller yachts A60 and A66 in the Advanced Italian Yachts’ range.
The construction is made of innovative materials and techniques, such as sandwich panels of carbon reinforced fibreglass panels with epoxy resins in a vacuum infusion process, and unidirectional carbon fibre applied in high load areas.
Mini luxury superyacht feel and extreme comfort on board are guaranteed by large open volumes and clever layout options. Apsaras features a large aft cockpit for ease of manoeuvres as well as for a pleasant relaxation area when at anchor. Forward of the helm stations is an ample dining area with two sofas and extendable tables. A sleek deckhouse and smooth continuous surface allows for easy moving about on deck.
Pedol and Gino have designed three different interior layout options for owners to choose from. Apsaras boasts a three cabin layout, with a full beam master suite located aft and two twin cabins amidships.
The skylights in the coach roof fills the salon with plenty of natural light, and together with a neutral colour scheme, adds to the spaciousness experienced throughout the yacht.
