Mengi Yay Launches 34M REMTurkish yacht builder Mengi Yay has launched REM, their latest luxury yacht. She is a semi-displacement  motoryacht, stretching a 34-meter overall length with a 7.8-meter beam and draft at 2.3-meters.
Her design is by Turkish designer Ibrahim Karatas, who worked very closely with the owner to create a yacht that is fitting with his personal taste.
The design has been made so to allow for maximum natural-light use and great views out, which can be seen where glass is incorporated into the bulwarks. Just outside of main salon there is glass in the bulwark as well as outside the master suite on the forward end of the main deck. The interior is sophisticated in decoration and utilizes earthtones to the owner’s wishes.
The flybridge is fairly spacious with seating room and hardtop with a perforated ceiling. There is a garage for the yacht’s tender in the transom for easy use.
REM has been officially launched in the water, and is now alongside to finish the outfitting process before being prepared for seatrials. The yacht is expected to be able to run to a top speed of 17-knots with a cruising speed of 13-about knots, numbers that will have to be confirmed after the seatrials have been concluded.
