MCP Yachts have launched a new sailing yachts division under which they will build a range of new fast aluminium sailing yachts. The first project of this new series to be built by the Brazilian shipyard is Silver Bullet, a 100ft performance cruiser developed in partnership with A. Bottino design & engineering.
The modern styled sloop features a semi-raised saloon, which creates a spacious interior and accommodations found in much larger yachts. A clean flush deck was designed to keep manoeuvres as simple and carefree as possible.
Aft of the helm station is a foldable terrace which opens outward to the sea and aft as a swim platform would. This terrace area is secured and protected from sun and wind by a retractable Bimini, featuring wide seats and a large glazing area, so it can either be enjoyed as a comfortable sunbathing area, or as water-toys storage. The terrace has room enough to carry a Jet Ski, which is easily launched to the water using a boom extension pipe.
While anchored there is a hydraulic folded platform that increases substantially the “beach on the sea” way of living.
The tender is carried on the foredeck, in an area which, once the tender is launched and out into the water, is convertible into a pool.
Silver Bullet is designed to be run by minimal crew, and the self-tacking jib will make this an easy 100 footer to handle.
According to Manoel Chavez, President and Director of MCP Yachts, the production facility has been prepared and the first plates will be cut in January 2016. MCP Yachts will be working on the project for the next two years and delivery is scheduled for early 2017.
