master-yacht-designDuring the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2016, the association Nautica Italiana starts a new collaboration looking towards the future with the Master in Yacht Design supported by the School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano together with POLI.design, a consortium of Politecnico di Milano.
The latest edition of the Superyacht Intelligence Annual Report’s Global Order Book places the Italian leisure boat industry ahead of all other countries with the 30,9% of the in-house exterior design projects in the world and the 44% of the in-house interior design projects.
Nautica Italiana is aware of the fact that such an impressive Italian leadership needs to be constantly developed so to keep on in excellence and competitiveness: to do so, it is necessary to look at young talents.
With this awareness, Nautica Italiana starts a collaboration supporting the official delivery of the Degree Diplomas of the Master in Yacht Design organized by Professor Andrea Ratti. The diplomas will be given by Lamberto Tacoli, president of Nautica Italiana, during the ceremony held at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile today at 16.30. Paolo Borgio, Managing Director of Fiera Milano, Matteo Ingaramo, Director of POLI.design, Andrea Ratti, Director of the Master in Yacht Design, and Giovanna Vitelli, Vice President of Nautica Italiana will also be present at the ceremony.
Nautica Italiana will give a constant contribution to next edition of the Master, providing students with its know-how, as well as opening the doors of the associate companies to the young designers for internships.
“To create a direct thread between companies and young creative designers and technicians, who will be asked to represent Italy in the demanding world of the nautical industry in the future, is fundamental.  Who grew in this world knows well how much design is the first aspect involving and convincing clients all over the world, but also sometimes a crucial element to find, and some other times to manage, advanced technical and technological solutions. In the nautical field, design is as one with the product and because of that our associates are happy to contribute to the education of the young designers of the future, opening their companies and building so their own future as well” said Lamberto Tacoli.
