Called Fast and Furious, the 55-metre craft is the ninth Yacht Support vessel by the Dutch shipyard. The YS 5009, which is currently under construction in Holland at Damen’s facilities, is soon to begin sea trials.
Rob Luijendijk, Managing Director of Amels, Damen’s luxury yacht builder and partner for the Yacht Support range, explained that the Damen YS 5009 will be on display at such a renowned event in order to show the great advantages of the Yacht Support concept.
“The upgraded YS 5009 offers all the benefits of larger helicopters, safer operations, bigger tenders and a great variety of toys,” detailed Mark Vermeulen, Damen Product Director Yacht Support. “You accommodate more staff and crew. Plus, we can deliver in eight months from signing depending on the client’s requirements – no other solution can match that.”
Pre-engineered custom configurations can be incorporated on board, including dive, sail, helipad and hangar options. The vessel will be on display at T-Central in Monaco from 28th September until October 1st, together with plenty of water toys, tenders, submersibles and dive equipments by Damen.
