Nadir, Ferrari Franchi’s new 34-metre sailing yacht concept

Ferrari franchiFerrari Franchi Design studio recently revealed their latest sailing yacht concept. Her design takes its ispiration from the Italian definition of Gran Turismo, used for luxury high-performance cars with great elegance and comfort.
Full comfort is provided to owners and guests through a special care in conveying a sense of space: spaciousness is enhanced with high ceilings in all indoor spaces. Throughout the yacht, the ceiling height is of 2.6 metres, which allows for very large windows. Side and top windows in the main salon, together with two skylights on the main deck just above, allow for plenty of natural light to flood living areas, creating an airy and welcoming atmosphere where to relax and spend pleasant time together. A particular feature is the optional surface of the deckhouse, reminding a mosaic, which can be customized according to the owner’s tastes and wishes. The deck is free from riggings with the exception of the 9 winches. A lounge area forward the cockpit provides another space where to relax while enjoying the sea. A tender garage can be found in the stern, where a service tender is housed.
Accommodation on board is provided for up to eight guests across four cabins: a forward owner’s suite and three guest cabins, all offering generous indoor space thanks to their 2.2-metre high ceilings. A crew of five also finds place on board, with three dedicated cabins located in the aft.
High performance was another main focus in the design of a Gran Turismo-inspired sailing yacht: the vessel is designed to be a race-cruiser and to take part with success in her class’ regattas. She features a carbon fibre sloop rig with the sail plan consisting of a mainsail, staysail and a genoa with the possibility to use an asymmetrical spinnaker all made in 3DL.
