More than 30 brands of the Made in Italy, represented by Nautica Italiana, from tomorrow until November 7th, are taking part in the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, the most important American nautical exposition in the world.
The US market, according to the latest data collected by the world maritime organisation Nmma, is having a growth of more than 7% in terms of volume in the year 2016. “Even if in the US market most of the boats sold are part of the American production, it is in the 70 + feet range that our nautical industry plays a primary role” said Lamberto Tacoli, Nautica Italiana’s president.
If we only consider the inboard units, the growth of the US market in 2016 has been in volume of a + 5,4 %. Italy, boasting a production estimated 1,7 billion euros in value for the year 2015, proves to be the first producer in Europe and the second in the world right after the USA, towards which it exports more than the 20% of its production.
According to an analysis by Deloitte/Altagamma, Italy is the global leader in the sector of large yachts with a share of the pocketbook of orders in 2016 equalling the 39% and a growth opportunity thanks to the orders of giga yachts (90+ metres in length), a growing sector.
Nautica Italiana, which counts 78 associates to date, will bring some of the most prestigious brands in the Italian nautical industry, such as Arcadia, Azimut, Baglietto, Benetti, CRN, Custom Line, Mondomarine, Perini Navi and Picchiotti, to the American boat show.
