Protection powering performance

Whether your customers’ time on the water is spent cruising or working, the performance of their vessel is vital. Keeping a boat running smoothly and efficiently impacts all aspects of a voyage, from the safety of the crew to the enjoyment of passengers and the overall cost of maintenance and fuel.

It doesn’t matter if their vessel is a multi-purpose RIB, centre console or bowrider ready for the perfect day cruise: your customers depend on more than just motors and MFDs to get them there. Advanced boat anti fouling solutions and underwater hull protection are becoming increasingly important to preserve vessel efficiency.

Protecting expensive and sensitive components

Boaters have expensive and sometimes sensitive components to make their vessel perform at its peak. These components, thanks to modern engineering, are more frequently being manufactured out of lightweight, durable materials. The options for protecting these components from fouling have traditionally been biocides – until now.

The newest addition from Propspeed is the Foulfree™ Multi-Surface System, a biocide free marine coating designed as a high-performance marine foul release coating. Offering the same proven effectiveness of the entire Propspeed product line, Foulfree is engineered to adhere to and protect non-metal components underwater. It is perfect for the painted aluminium of outboard lower units and bracket assemblies; plastic or composite stabilisation systems; thrusters made from nylon; carbon fibre fins and even PVC and Hypalon RIB tubes.

Season-lasting performance

Underwater fouling increases drag and reduces fuel efficiency and boat speed. Sensitive stabilisation systems like composite interceptors or fins rely on clean surfaces to be effective; smaller bow thrusters become useless when plugged with algae. Even the growth on the lower unit of a large outboard hanging just below the waterline can add to already expensive fuel costs.

The Foulfree Multi-Surface System bonds across a wide range of components, keeping them clean and a boat running fast, smooth and worry-free. This marine foul release coating provides reliable underwater hull protection while extending the performance of critical onboard systems.

Offering foul-release protection, Foulfree Multi-Surface delivers high-quality adhesion and durability for season-lasting performance in salt or freshwater marine environments. It is quick to apply and easy to remove, saving valuable time without compromise, making it one of the most advanced boat anti fouling solutions available today.

Advantages

Designed with professional application in mind, the system supports efficient workflows through a straightforward application process, combining a 10-minute overcoat window (at 20°C) with a 12-hour full cure time to support faster vessel turnaround. The coating applies clear, maintaining the original appearance of components without heavy build-up below the waterline.

The Foulfree Multi-Surface System is available in small and medium kit sizes, with each kit including all required preparation and application components.

The system also expands the boating profile Propspeed can now serve, delivering a solution for boats 26 feet and above. From centre consoles to cruisers and RIBs, Foulfree unlocks a new customer segment for Propspeed and their industry partners by providing marine propeller protection, protection for underwater components and advanced biocide free marine coating technology.
