Azimut Benetti at the Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous

Share:

Azimut Benetti Group is attending the first Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous, the new international event in the luxury yacht industry, held from May 11th to 14th, 2017 in Viareggio (Tuscany).

The Group, world’s leading producer of luxury motor yachts, will be showcasing a remarkable 15 models, three by Benetti and twelve by Azimut Yachts.

Azimut Benetti will have a major presence at the debut of this new boat show, which has been devised by Nautica Italiana and organised by Fiera Milano in partnership with the Distretto Tecnologico per la Nautica e la Portualità Toscana (Tuscan Marine and Port Technology District). Attending the show with the Italian Group will be other big names in the world of ‘Made in Italy’ yachting with a reputation for excellence, as well as numerous foreign players who believe in the new event format. There will be three thematic areas in the 50 thousand square meters of water available for the show: Tender & Toys, for technology-intensive tender manufacturers; Superyacht Marina, dedicated to marinas catering for big boats; and Superyacht Equipment and Component, offering a space for the producers of accessories and components for superyachts.

Azimut Yachts will be protagonist by taking the gems in the brand’s five collections to the show (Flybridge, Grande, S, Magellano and Atlantis). There will also be an exclusive preview – by appointment only – of the new Azimut Grande 35 Metri flagship, the only model of its size with two beach clubs, one in the bow and one in the stern, not to mention the unprecedented instant balcony with seaview, made entirely from carbon. Turning to Benetti, the boats on show will be the Fast 125’, with the new Carbon Azipull propulsion system produced in partnership with Rolls Royce (exclusive sea trials available for booking), the Classic Supreme 132’ and the Crystal 140’.

Once again the innovative power of the Azimut Benetti Group will be in the spotlight. The main feature, shared by all the yachts in the fleet on display, is the systematic and extensive use of carbon-tech. Carbon fibre is, in fact, already a reality on a growing number of products in the range, from the smallest 16 meter model in Azimut Yachts’ Flybridge Collection to the new Grande 35 Metri, as well as being used extensively on Benetti models too. Carbon fiber is also used in the manufacture of the new Carbon Azipull propulsion system by Rolls Royce, which is fitted to the Benetti Fast 125’ in the Class Fast Displacement line, delivering unique handling performance and zero vibrations.

Azimut Benetti Group was the first player in the Industry to invest strategically in the mechanical properties of carbon composites, which significantly reduce the weight of components, while improving performance. Depending on the resins used, the reduction in weight can be in the order of 20%/40%. This opportunity has been seized not only with a view to increasing the top speed, but mainly to improve comfort on board (more living space and excellent levels of dynamic stability), which is the real driver of customer purchases.
