Nautica Italiana now counts 92 associate companies

Nautica Italiana, the Italian association for the nautical industry, currently counts 92 members. 13 new new companies have joined the association in the first six months of 2017: Airmarine Technology, Areti, Cantieri Magazzù, Castalia, Castoldi Jet, Ecospray Technologies, Furuno, Gyromarine, Hdb, Marine Leather, Mussini Giorgio, Sacs Marine, and Telemar.

The 92 associate companies represent various sectors of the nautical industry, such as the shipbuilding sector (37%), refit (10%), accessories and components (24%), services (22%) and marinas (7%).
The sector of the high-end industry is increasing, including the production of high-tech tenders, components aimed at enhancing superyachts’ comfort, new materials, services, environmental sustainability all applied to large yachts. Another remarkable sector is the one of large RIBs, which is an all-Italian excellence.

According to data about 2016 shared by the association itself, the global turnover of the associate companies is about 1,7 billion euro, of which 1,45 billions are all from the shipbuilding sector. More than 4 thousand direct employees and 15 thousand operators in the satellite activities are involved.
