Benetti has recently launched the second unit of its 35.5-metre Mediterraneo 116 from the Class Displacement range, which has been christened Mr Loui.
As with the other hulls of the Mediterraneo 116, the exterior design of Mr Loui was developed by the Italian designer Giorgio Maria Cassetta, while the interior styling is the work of the in-house team.
The main concept around which the yacht was designed and developed is the maximisation of natural light, a feature capable of improving the liveability of the interior spaces as well as of increasing the sense of a seamless space.
The interior spacious lounge area has been split into two discreet areas: one for dining and one for relaxing. Three-metre long windows in each area allow plenty of natural light to flood the interior.
Al fresco dining options include a six-metre wide table located on the upper deck, while the 16-metre sundeck on Mr Loui has been fitted out with sun loungers, sofas, deckchairs and armchairs.
Mr Loui can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests across the owner’s suite –located on the main deck, two VIPs and two twin cabins with Pulman berths. The crew quarters accommodate a staff of up to seven people, including a captain’s cabin on the upper deck.
The yacht is powered by c a pair of 1600hp Caterpiller ACER C32 diesel engines, allowing for a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 15 knots. Cruising at a speed of ten knots, the yacht is capable of a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles, while an electric fin stabilisation system ensures a smooth experience, both underway and at anchor.
