Gulf Craft Majesty 175At the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show, Gulf Craft announced that the construction of its new 53-metre superyacht project Majesty 175 has begun.

At last year’s edition of the show, The world-renowned Emirati shipyard had announced plans to build larger superyachts, unveiling the concepts for the 53-metre Majesty 175 and the 61-metre Majesty 200.

The 53-metre Majesty 175 is currently in build at the yard’s facilities in the UAE and is scheduled for completion by the second quarter of 2019. She will be completely built in advanced composite materials, exploring and expanding the possibilities of fibreglass to unprecedented sizes.

The Majesty 175 will boast plenty of remarkable features, such as a retractable helipad, a rich interior designed by Italian yacht designer Cristiano Gatto, a large beach club and extensive lounging and entertainment indoor and on-deck areas.

Erwin Bamps, the company’s CEO, commented: “Gulf Craft’s flagship brand-Majesty Yachts offer owners a remarkable degree of customization. In fact, the shipyard has teamed up with interior designer, Cristiano Gatto, to design the lavish interior of the Majesty 175, which includes substantial lounging and entertainment areas, beach club, and splendid interiors.”

Gatto, of Cristiano Gatto Design, added: “Yacht design is at the forefront of what I do, but, by virtue of my experience as a sculptor, I approach each and every project as a sculpture, with the overall design in mind but refining it to the smallest detail.”

At the last Cannes’ and Monaco’s yacht shows, Gulf Craft had its latest launch, the Majesty 100, debut in Europe, alongside its popular larger tri-deck model Majesty 110 and the current flagship, Majesty 155.

Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft, said: “Gulf Craft’s international exposure is increasing steadily, and we are proud to raise the Emirati flag at Europe’s most prominent yachting events, showcasing our UAE-made yachts before an international audience, while we offer a focus on family-oriented yachting and intrinsic value, with an unrelenting attention to detail.”
