From 27 to 31 January 2020 CMC Marine’s Cascina headquarters played host to the third edition of the event dedicated to the company’s growing service network. The event was attended by 19 certified service providers from various countries in Europe, Asia, North and South America.
Aiming to improve
The CMC Marine Service Convention has therefore proved to be an important and long-awaited opportunity for information and discussion, involving training sessions and technical skills development for staff.
“In view of the success of the first two editions, we decided to start the new year again with an event tailored to our service point staff, giving participants the opportunity to align their strategies and update their training“, Alessandro Cappiello, CEO of the Tuscan company, commented, after the five-day event attended by 19 service providers from 11 countries on 3 continents.
“For us it is paramount and essential to organise an event that provides an opportunity to reflect on the final service we can offer our customers, which must be thorough, precise and widespread, as well as to talk about product safety and know-how,” the founder of CMC Marine added.
A tailored event for service points
The rapid and significant business growth and the considerable expansion in various regions that has distinguished CMC Marine for several years now, calls for the coordination, updating and standardisation of the various service points around the world, in order to offer the same service and brand image everywhere. The Convention is, then, also a way to inform staff about new products and production processes and the sales and service strategies best suited to each country.
CMC Marine has therefore taken the opportunity to take stock with employees and collaborators of the numerous changes that have taken place in the last 12 months, discussing with them any problems and concerns that need to be addressed, in order to offer a service tailored to our customers’ needs yet distinguished by the same level of expertise and quality in every part of the world.
During the first three days of the convention, CMC Marine professionals, in the persons of Alessandro Gallifuoco, Business Development Manager and Vice-President of CMC Marine USA, Michela Fernicola, Marketing and Communication Manager, and Mauro Grimaldi, Service Network & Refit Manager, were the instructors and speakers for the training and updating events. The activities focused in particular on sales and marketing strategies, existing and new products portfolio and their installation and maintenance.
On the fourth and fifth day, training was provided by Mitsubishi Electric Motor and Wittenstein, partners and suppliers of CMC Marine, who share the high-tech features of their products with the Cascina-based company.
