Ecopneus, the main operator of End of Life Tires management in Italy, is Sustainability Partner of the Nastro Rosa Tour, the sailing tour of “the boot” that promotes the values of the Navy, which started last week from the suggestive Old Port of Genoa and will continue for another 7 stages, that will touch some of the most beautiful Italian coastal resorts, from north to south!
At each stage a Village will be set up, aso it’ll be possible to discover the innovative Tyrefield surfaces for boating, made of recycled rubber from End of Life Tires (ELTs), a new solution available to professionals and professionals.
A sustainable answer for the nautical sector
The innovative plates were tested at the Yatch Club Italiano in Genoa, the oldest sailing club in the Mediterranean, in the 6×6 technical area and on the descent slides to the sea, thanks to the commitment of Ecopneus, a non-profit company which is the main operator of the management of Out Tires in Italy, and to the technical support of Casei Eco-System, a leading company in recycled rubber products.
The experiments carried out at the Italian Yacht Club of Genoa attest the Tyrefield surfaces for boating in recycled rubber as an ideal and highly performing partner for the needs of those who work in the sailing and nautical sectors:
a concrete and sustainable response to safety needs and protection of both professionals and sea lovers, as they significantly reduce the possibility of slipping in contexts close to water or in humid areas and protect boats from shocks.
Features of Tyrefield surfaces
In addition, coming from a recycling process, they reduce the impact of the use of raw materials, a further plus in sectors where attention to environmental protection is of primary importance.
The latest generation Tyrefield sports surfaces for boating are made of recycled rubber originated from ELTs, a material that has extraordinary characteristics for sports: optimal elastic response, resistance to the most adverse weather conditions and high shock absorption capacity, make it a perfect material for the practice of different sports disciplines.
Indeed, it’s widely used all over the world for the construction of football and rugby fields in artificial grass, athletics tracks, indoor and outdoor multi-purpose surfaces for basketball, tennis and volleyball, anti-shock flooring for gyms and play areas.
