Founded in 2011 by Luca Signorini, TBS Marine is a dynamic company specialising in the representation of high-tech international brands for the professional and pleasure boating industry.
Born from the founder’s direct experience as a yacht agent, shipowner’s representative and service manager for Caterpillar, the company has been able to rapidly consolidate itself in the Italian panorama and in the southern Mediterranean area thanks to a network of trusted and long-term relationships and a deep knowledge of the yacht refit and new build industry.
In 2017, the corporate structure was enriched by the presence of Federico Calistri, Managing Director and shareholder of Calistri Giacinto & C. snc, a leading reality in full custom and standard watertigth doors and handling solutions for yachts and megayachts. The entry represented a further qualitative leap, strengthening the solidity of the structure and commercial expansion.
Today TBS Marine represents solely for Italy reference brands such as VEEM Marine for marine propulsion and large yacht stabilization components like propellers and gyroscopes and MUIR for mooring and anchoring equipments, distinguishing itself for its ability to accompany the customer in the choice, customisation and integration of nautical technology on-board solutions.
VEEM Marine: customised propulsion for high performance
VEEM propellers, fully 5 axis CNC machined entirely from solid proprietary alloys patternless monoblocks, are custom designed for each vessel, offering highly efficient hydrodynamic solutions.

The patented Interceptor™ technology, available on request, allows blade pitch adjustment without the need for hauling out and disassemble: a considerable advantage in terms of maintainability and optimised performance even after delivery that main OEMs from around the globe learned to appreciate more and more due to the increased flexibility that allows.
VEEM guarantees stringent mechanical tolerances, achieved through a fully digital machining cycle, from design to testing. Each propeller is accompanied by a a certificate of “over S class” conformity, which is essential for mega-yachts where acoustic comfort, vibrations and performance are essential criteria.

The engineering approach and constant dialogue with designers and shipyards allow perfect integration with shaftlines, hybrid drives and manoeuvring propellers – key aspects in any modern marine propulsion strategy – making the company one of the mostly advanced and integrated partners of many pleasure, commercial and defense shipyards this year further increasing the production to the astonishing quota of ~6000 propellers built in a year.

VEEM Gyro: active stability and absolute comfort on board
The VEEM Gyro is a vertical shaft, naturally precessed gyro stabilizer system developed after many years of continuous investments, reaserch and fiedl testing, now reaching Mark II and III on various models throughout the range.
With a roll mitigation capability of up to 95%, even at anchor or at low speeds, it represents a true revolution in on-board comfort. The VEEM range is designed to be flexible in installation: it requires no central or low position, facilitating retrofits and new builds – ideal for both custom projects and yacht refit operations.
The interface with the dashboard is fully integrated via glass bridge, while the colour touch panel allows intuitive local control, with real-time feedback on operating conditions. The naturally precessed system allows a VEEM gyroscope to offer outstanding performances and instant reactivity.
Using the GyroSim simulator, VEEM provides customised dynamic analyses, considering displacement, GMt and operating environment. This engineering approach allows the system to be dimensioned on an objective and realistic basis, overcoming the limitations of simple hull length-based assessments and raising the standards for nautical technology innovation.

MUIR: high-performance anchoring systems
TBS Marine is also the exclusive representative in Italy of MUIR, the Australian leader in anchoring systems for yachts and ships. The company designs and manufactures anchor windlasses and mooring capstans, gypsies, bollards and associated components, with a focus on build quality, marine corrosion resistance and adaptability to the most complex bow layouts.

MUIR systems are available with electric or hydraulic drive, to suit both luxury yachts and commercial vessels. Thanks to the possibility of customisation and compliance with the main international certifications (Lloyd’s, ABS, RINA), MUIR is a reliable and robust choice even for megayachts up to 140m.
TBS supports the entire business cycle: from the selection of the most suitable anchor winch system through to after-sales assistance, guaranteeing a punctual technical service in line with the needs of shipyards and captain and owners.
