Based on the experience gained in the manufacture of large water strainers (DN150 and over) Maestrini has introduced a new model with interesting features. A spin-off of the well-known ‘Venezia’ series, the new Venezia Twin three-way water strainer has a flanged DN150 raw water inlet at the bottom, and two independent strained water outlets on the body, one opposite to the other and both at a 90° angle to the inlet. The outlets are flanged as well, with nominal diameters DN125 and DN80 respectively. All the flanges are dimensionally compliant to EN 1092 for the PN6 pressure class.
This bronze water strainer for yachts is particularly suitable for those boats that require high volumes of strained seawater for technical purposes, but for constraints in the engine room cannot easily accommodate an independent strainer for each water line.
A single Venezia Twin strainer provides two independent strained water lines, as with a DN125 and a DN80 water strainers, taking less room and additionally offering simplified maintenance, due to the presence of a single strainer instead of two. Last but not least, the use of a single strainer for two water lines can increase the marine water system safety, reducing the number of water inlets through the hull. The new Venezia Twin shares the design and manufacturing features of all the Maestrini flanged water strainers in bronze, and as well as the other ‘Genova’ and ‘Venezia’ bronze flanged strainers, has the RINA approved marine water strainer type approval.
