The propeller is a product that has existed since the very beginning and, over time, its main characteristics have never really changed.
Today, however, VEEM introduces an absolute revolution: the EXTREME propulsion system delivers fuel savings of up to 18%, an exceptional achievement that transforms the way we navigate as we have known it until now.
VEEM EXTREME: product details
A combined, comprehensive, and custom-engineered system – comprising propeller, shaft, struts, and rudder – delivering an 18.1% REDUCTION in fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to a traditional system equipped with a Class 1 propeller. All tests were verified by Lloyd’s Register on VEEM’s trial vessel, which also recorded an 8.5% INCREASE in maximum speed.
This substantial improvement results from multiple combined factors, including the new V- or P-type strut, the flow-aligned rudder, the patented shaft/propeller coupling that reduces shaft stress by 20%, and above all the brand-new EXTREME propeller featuring an ultra-thin NACA-profile blade section made from a proprietary, high-strength steel alloy. The revolutionary and exclusive INTERCEPTOR system – enabling pitch adjustment “in the blink of an eye” – remains an integral component.
VEEM has succeeded in producing the most efficient shaft-line propulsion system ever developed, giving this type of solution a new and prosperous future and maintaining global leadership in the sector.

MIUR: New horizontal windlass design
MUIR introduces the new design of the HR1200 and HR1600 horizontal windlasses, rated at 800 W and 1200 W respectively.
The windlass cover is now made of ocean-proof brushed stainless steel and can be customized with the logo and/or the name of the vessel.
Mechanical and electrical specifications remain unchanged at top-of-the-range levels, with uncompromising high-quality components ensuring long service life and low maintenance requirements.

Major news from TBS Marine: the company is pleased to announce a partnership with its affiliate Koreax, specialized in propeller-shaft alignment using the most advanced instrumentation, as well as in the servicing of mooring systems for yachts, superyachts, and megayachts.
