The Board has been created to support the Seaquip team in defining the strategic direction and content of the next edition of the exhibition, scheduled for March 2027. Its focus will be on the evolution of marine components and the development of increasingly effective services for the industry.
The first meeting took place on 24 June at Triennale Milano and was moderated by journalist Fabio Petrone. It marked the beginning of a structured discussion on the main needs of the marine supply chain and the sector’s future development. The members’ participation and active contribution immediately demonstrated the value of the initiative and the shared commitment to building an ongoing collaborative process.
Key priorities The Advisory Board is conceived as a permanent platform for dialogue, designed to identify emerging needs and marine industry trends, encourage the exchange of expertise, and provide practical guidance for the continued development of the Seaquip platform. Its work will continue through dedicated discussion sessions throughout 2027 and with a long-term perspective.
During the inaugural meeting, several key priorities for the sector emerged, including digitalisation, innovation, sustainable investment, safety, lightweight boat construction, and the development of smart yachting. Considerable attention was also devoted to regulatory issues and to benchmarking with other industrial sectors, whose expertise and business models may provide valuable insights for the future evolution of the marine industry.
