Sunrise Yachts MerideonSunrise Yachts unveiled the 170 Merideon superyacht concept as part of a new line of yachts ranging from 43 metres to 100 metres. The Merideon is a 51-metre project with a gross tonnage of 499 GT, and it has been designed by German studio Focus Yacht Design – which also designed the popular 63m Irimari by the same Turkish shipyard.
Focus Yacht Design created a sleek and slender aluminium hull shape with a dynamic sloping superstructure, perfectly blending usable exterior deck spaces with a high volume interior.
The four-deck aluminium yacht features a clever arrangement of the available space, and along with smart layout, guests are guaranteed relaxation spaces with a feeling of spaciousness usually found on much larger yachts.
Specific dedicated functions such as sunbathing, exterior lounging and al-fresco dining each have their designated areas on large exterior decks. The main deck aft features a circular seating area which can slide around on a track so to allow both a communicative arrangement or a focus towards the sea.
A dining area is located on aft bridge deck, where the service can either be direct from the pantry or through a bar area located forward of the sky lounge. The sun protection is provided by means of an automated rigid awning system, easy to use and versatile to fit changing conditions and purposes.
A stern beach club, a feature that is usually found in 60m+ yachts, is allowed by the relocation of tender boats. The guest cabin area is on the aft of the engine room and has been arranged so to considerably upgrade this important space. Guests can directly access the beach club and the swim platform from their cabins.
Interior and exterior stairways concentrated in a central core enable exterior decks free of borden stairs, exterior gangways around the bridge deck and provide continuous peripheral window facades.
A straight bow will increase the yacht’s sea keeping abilities and speed (18 knots is the expected cruising speed).
