UCINA’s President Carla Demaria presents the Italian example in Paris

Share:

UCINA-ParigiFor the first time a foreign president has been invited to take part in the general assembly of the French nautical industry. Carla Demaria, President of UCINA Confindustria Nautica, took part in the assembly held in Paris.
“28 legislative changes in four years, a professional structure dedicated to the lobbying, the technical and regulatory assistance services to the associates, the daily monitoring of the activities of the Parliament, the regional authorities, and the main governmental agencies. It was an honour to be able to explain the example of UCINA to the general assembly of the FIN as representative of the Italian nautical industry – explained Demaria – I thus could bring the proofs of the actions undertaken by the association that I represent and the perspective of the nautical industry in Italy, also concerning the relationship with the institutions. In three years we radically changed the image and the perception of the sector, passing from the taxes on the luxury yachts by Monti to their abolition, to the change of the system of assessing income, the introduction of the Bollino Blu which halved the controls at sea, the stop to the bill concerning craft registration and the introduction of a driving license under 40 hp”.
The French Federation was so positively impressed by the institutional successes obtained by UCINA in these last years that it chose Demaria to explain what has been emblematically called “L’exemple Italien”.
