Protect Tapes at the METS 2016, on display the new Anti-Skid Tape on test at the Vendée Globe

 The Marine Equipment Trade Show, better known as the acronym METS, will open Tuesday, 15 November 2016, in Amsterdam. Products Made in Italy will be represented by a large group of companies including PROtect tapes, specialized in solutions to chafing, abrasion, scratches, damages, ageing and wear for all kind of yachts, from dinghies to super yachts. In the Hall 1, booth 557 the full range of products and the new range of anti-skid tapes will be on display.
After the great success of the SKID series available in 12 different colours and widely used from Grand Prix Yachts (TP52, 72, AC, IMOCA) to dinghies and Olympic Classes (Finn, 49er/49FX, Nacra17, 470) just to mention a few, PROtect tapes has decided to expand its range and develop a complete range for recreational boats.
Racing and crusing are different: high grip for racing, soft touch for bare feet.

SKID Resilient tapes series 54 is a anti-skid tape with a low embossed, anti-slip, rubber coated PVC backed with a high performance acrylic adhesive. It has been designed to have a superior coefficient of friction and is available in clear grey and black.

SKID Coarse Resilient tapes series 46 is a heavy embossed, anti-slip, rubber coated PVC that has been engineered with an aggressive adhesive system to adhere to a wide variety of surfaces. It has been designed to have a superior coefficient of friction and is available in grey and black. For sale to all sailors, the SKID Coarse Resilient tape is currently undergoing a severe test in some areas of the deck on the IMOCAs 60 Banque Populaire skippered by Armel Le Cléac’h and Morgan Lagraviere’s Safran.
